Sanford Clinic Women's Health Donates Doppler to Mission in San Salvador
MAR 23, 2009
Last Fall, Karen Watterson called Sanford Clinic Women's Health wondering if the clinic would donate a Doppler to her for a mission trip to El Salvador.
"Within ten minutes of my call they had a Doppler for me," Watterson said.
In January, Watterson travelled to San Salvador to provide medical care to the missionaries living there. When presented with the new Doppler, the doctor (pictured on the left) was so grateful, she cried.
A Doppler fetal monitor provides information about the fetus. The monitor provides a great audio output, which allows people other than the user to listen to the heartbeat.
